Gregory James Christian

December 28, 1956 – May 5, 2025

Prior Lake, MN, USA

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on December 28, 1956. Gregory proudly served in the United States Army with the 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment stationed in Germany. He was a certified expert with the M16 rifle and .45 caliber pistol and received an honorable discharge.

Greg was well known as the lead singer of the bands Accomplice and Suite A. His powerful voice moved people, filled rooms and left lasting memories in the hearts of everyone who heard him. On stage, Greg wasn’t just performing, he was connecting. Through decades of gigs and jam sessions, he built a second family of bandmates that he admired and together they touched countless lives. Before his band would play a gig, he would always lead them in prayer. Greg lived by the motto, God first, family next and then the band. He also never forgot his many friends that were extremely important in his life.

He also built lasting friendships through his work places at M&S Drywall and Asset Marketing where humor and unwavering work ethic made him both respected and loved. His quick wit and sharp unexpected remarks could brighten a room. He was the office jokester.

Greg’s passion for life extended onto the softball field where he played the game for fun with his teammates/friends.

In his later years, Greg embraced a quieter strength-one shaped by Faith and his love for God, reflection, and peace. He showed us all that true masculinity includes tenderness and helping others.

Just over a month ago Greg retired from Asset Marketing, something he longed to do so he and Sherrie could enjoy the rest of their lives together watching their kids and grandkids blossom.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie Christian; his children, Jeremiah Christian, Daniel Christian, and Sarah Christian (Matthew Pikus); and his grandchildren, Duke, Evalynn, Vesper, Madalee and Zofia. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Christian; his mother, Marjorie Brown; his stepfather, Gary Brown; and his brothers, Michael Christian and John Brown.

Greg passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. Though his departure was sudden, the impact of his life remains powerful and lasting. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Memorial service will be held Saturday June 7th at 11am at Richfield Church of Christ (7314 Humboldt Ave S, Richfield, MN 55423)
