Jeffrey P. Hebeisen

October 27, 1967 – June 13, 2025

Cottage Grove, MN, USA

Jeffrey Preston (JP) Hebeisen, age 57 peacefully journeyed to heaven on June 13, 2025, during in-home hospice with family by his side after a courageous battle with liver failure. Despite his struggles in life, he fought hard and until the end was hoping for better days ahead.

JP was born on October 27, 1967, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He spent his childhood years living in both Minnesota and Arizona, then later called Tennessee and Florida home. Finally, a few years back, he returned to Minnesota. Jeff graduated from Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, MN and completed some post-secondary courses in business and music. Throughout his life, Jeff worked in project management, quality control, and sales positions within the printing, refrigeration, commercial kitchen, electrical, and lighting industries. In these roles, he was a dedicated, hardworking, endlessly organized, creative, and practical employee.

People knew Jeff as a sensitive, funny, caring, forgiving, and loving birthfather, son, brother, brother-in law, uncle, nephew, cousin, companion, and friend. He was generous to others in any way he could- be it an encouraging word, a song, a prayer, providing humor, an act of kindness, or with any means he had. Jeff was also an incredibly resilient and resourceful man despite his painful lived experiences that were situated within complicated systems and at times an unforgiving world. Throughout life Jeff maintained love for others and kept his faith in Jesus. His solace was in music and he listened endlessly to praise and worship music. Jeff also found so very much joy and peace when he could spend time outdoors, especially bicycling, walking, or hiking.

JP was preceded in death by his father Jeff, stepmother Ginger, stepfather Gerry, and his companion Ruth. He is survived by his son Connor; mother Jean; and his Rand family- sister Tanya (Mike); nephews, Chase (Emma), Conner (Callie); niece, Carleigh (Elizabeth); and great nieces and nephews, Hailee, Maddie, Quinn, Cooper, Rowan, and Whitley.

In life, Jeff always gave more than he ever took, and at the time of his death it was no different. As an organ, tissue, and eye donor with LifeSource, in the end Jeff was able to provide so many life healing and savings gifts to others. JP your story continues.
